Cindy Lewis

Cindy grew up in the Thornbury area, with involvement in church and music ministry all her life. She attained her Grade 10 Conservatory in early high school, using her talents and abilities to teach young students piano throughout high school. She also was choir director and organist/pianist at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Thornbury for 14 years in a full time capacity, and many more casually. After taking a 4 year break, Cindy joined the First Presbyterian music team in the capacity of Assistant Music Director. Duties include accompanying the choir and congregation on the organ and piano, and helping out with choir practices.

Cindy graduated from McMaster University with an honours Bachelor of Science (major in Biology and minor in chemistry and psychology), and then received her Chiropody (Foot Specialist) designation in 1994. She operates her busy private practice in Collingwood where she resides with her husband, Steve, and their three children, Morgan, Madyson and Matthew.

Cindy feels blessed to be living and raising her family in such a beautiful area surrounded by a very supportive church family. It is her wish to contribute in some small way to the quality music ministry that had become synonymous with First Pres!
