Catherine grew up in the Collingwood area and attended Nottawa Presbyterian Church as a child. Her early Sunday School training and musical opportunities there, laid the foundation for her continuing faith journey.
Catherine took thirteen years of piano training with the Royal Conservatory of Music. She went on to become a teacher in the elementary and secondary schools in the area for 33 years, with music as the focus. She became involved at First Presbyterian Church Collingwood in 1968, leading youth groups, initiating the Centennial WMS and accompanying choirs. Catherine later became the Music Director from 1987 to 2009.
Catherine has been the Director of Pastoral Care since 2017. She has formed a visitation team of over 70 members, to meet the spiritual needs of the congregation. This includes pastoral visits, meals, transportation, long-term care church services and bereavement suport.
Catherine and her husband Jonathan, enjoy travel, hiking, reading and coffee chats with friends. They are blessed to have their three children and five grandchildren living close by.
